Auction Sniper for eBay App Reviews

This ap ONLY works if your computer is on… so, basically useless if you have a laptop which most sane people close when not in use or travelling. I suppose this could work if you are sitting watching your laptop, or if you have your computer on 24/7, but be aware that if you are looking for the traditional ‘set it and forget it’ type of sniper app, this is NOT it.

This app is really really useful for anyone who is interested in making sure they do get what they want on eBay - on some objects «sniping» is so commonplace that one just has to do it…In addition to being a great app, I must say the developper goes to extra length in support and I have myself really appreciated his time in sorting out bugs.

Don’t buy it, even if it shows low, attractive price : it is just a mess !

will not submit bids! time after time, it doesn’t submit the bids. don’t use this program.

I read through all of the old reviews and maybe it was problems with the earlier versions but version 4.0.4 has worked flawlessly for me. The initial setup isn’t a big deal and if you run into any problems the support email really does get right back to you. I set my Mac up following the instructions and while out of town the calendar event woke my computer up and I won the auction. There are a few small things that I don’t like about the software but compared to the last sniping app I used it’s pretty close to flawless. Thanks to the developer for great software at a great price.

I started with the iPhone version, but now with this mac version, it is very cool to see my iMac spring into action after setting a snipe up on my iPad. I didnt even have to do anything on the mac, it just came to life and I got my two sets of what I am collecting with no problems.

lost 2 items this am because it keeps crashing at the final seconds when it should be sniping

While I don’t do all that much shopping on eBay, I do enough shopping there to be annoyed at having to babysit an auction for somethinng I’m especially interested in. With the application, I can set it up the parameters for my bid and then forget it. While I haven’t won every auction using Bidding Sniper, it’s been successful far more often than not.

You have to unrequire a password during computer sleep to use this software, making your computer insecure. I never would have purchased this software if they were upfront about this. I don’t want to allow anybody to wake up my computer and have access—who does? Also, the setup instructions are LONG and complex, albeit clearly written. I just wasted money and time on this app.

This program works so well to snipe in eBay goods. I only use eBay when I’m looking for some used tech equipment, but it works wonders for me!

I had to watch the website and refresh the page to see whether I bid successfully before. But now I have this app. I can set up my goal and bids. Then all things can be done by this app. It will provide sufficient information in time. What an awesome app it is. I love it and I loving shopping.

I almost don’t want to give away my secret weapon… This thing just works. Easy to use and will place you bid for you in the last possible second.

While its not especailly pretty, and the interface is a little clunky, this app does exacatly what it says on the tin. Its helped me win several autions over the past few months -- a very nice change of pace for me!

Low cost app that does just what it says it will. You do have to set up Auction Sniper Power On Helper before hand and make sure both Auction Sniper & Power On Helper are running at all times. The companion iOS app connects with iCloud so you can add and manage snipes on the go (iOS app doesn’t do the sniping itself but through your Mac). I’ve won more auctions using this app.
